Opening of the Storting 🤴🏼
This weekend I went to see the opening of the Storting. The King drove by in an open car, and it was pretty cool to see him up close. There was a nice mix of ceremony and everyday Oslo life, people standing along the street, taking pictures and waving.
The opening of the Storting marks the start of a new parliamentary year. The King gives his speech from the throne, and it’s full of tradition, soldiers, the royal family, and all the members of parliament in their formal clothes.
After that, I met some friends and we went for a little sightseeing round in the city. Just walked around, talked, and enjoyed the day. Simple but nice.
